Thank you!

We would like to thank everyone who came to the Summer Fair and our Family Picnic / AGM where we shared what we have acomplished this year and said goodbye to one of our long lasting PTA members, whose daugher is leaving this year.

Review of fundraising in 2024-25

This year we raised an incredible £8218.57

Our biggest hitters as always were the Christmas Fair (£2350) and Summer Fair (£1955).
We also had lots of smaller events throughout the year – our Krispy Kreme sales, which
were a steep learning curve but were incredibly popular, our weekly ice cream sales in the
summer term which have been a big hit in the lovely weather.
We re-introduced a Bingo Night in the spring term, which was a lot of fun and a great way to
get the school community together. We are hoping to run more events like this next year.
We launched an online uniform shop, which is a great way to recycle school uniform, save
money and earn some money for the PTA – in its first year we have taken just over £100 on
this.
We also had some success with the ASDA cashpot scheme, as well as EasyFundraising
and the School Lottery. Please do continue to support us through these schemes as they
really add up.

What we have spent it on!

We have funded coaches for school trips in Year 1 and 2, and swimming lessons for Year 3
and 4.
We funded a Greensands workshop for Early Years.
We paid for the new outdoor library which was officially opened by author James Mayhew on
World Book Day.
We have ordered a replacement Buddy Bench which should be in situ by the end of term,
and have commissioned a new sign to go with it.
We also organised a visit from Father Christmas, who brought a gift for every child in the
school, as well as an Easter Egg Hunt where every child received a chocolate egg.

Thank you!

We are really proud of our achievements this year, but of course we couldn’t do it without
your help.
So a huge thank you to….
All of our amazing volunteers and school staff who give up their time and energy to help
plan, organise and run our events, we couldn’t do it without you.
Everyone who has contributed by attending an event, signing up to the Lottery or
EasyFundraising, or buying an ice cream or doughnut after school!

But there is one person in particular we want to give an extra big thank you to. Our amazing
secretary Thais is leaving the committee this year, after having children at the school for 7
years, her daughter is about to move on to middle school. She has been an absolutely
integral part of the PTA, giving up so much of her time to make sure that everything the PTA
does for the school is a success. She’s hardworking, amazingly organised, great fun and so
welcoming to the rest of us who only started on the committee last year. We are going to
miss her loads, although we hope that she will be back in a year’s time when her youngest
starts school (hopefully here!). So to say thank you we have got her a little gift.

The official part

The current committee is
Rosie and Isabel – co-chairs
Becca – treasurer
Thais – outgoing secretary – Laura Botelho has been voted as the new Secretary

Targets for next year

We are working with the school on a plan to fundraise for a new outdoor gym. We are in the
process of applying for a grant for this, which we will top up with our own funds raised
through activities in school.
As mentioned before we’d also like to hold more events for adults in the evenings, including
a quiz night and a race night. If you would like to help run these events or have a great idea
then please let us know!

Volunteer with us!

We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you would like to get involved with the PTA,
please don’t be shy – come and speak to one of us or drop us an email or a whatsapp
message. You can be involved as little or as much as you like, whether that’s helping set up
for a fair, selling ice creams after school or just contributing ideas. Please also consider us
as a recipient for any charity funding that your workplace might offer – we are a registered
charity and therefore eligible for these types of schemes.

Thank you for your continuos support. Remember, you can support us from home, keep reading:

Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who attended the Christmas Fair or purchased something or contributed in any way, we’ve done it once again!! and thanks to all your continuous support we have managed to fund all of these in the last few months (since last summer)!

One of the greatest news this term is that we finally have a bank account that we can access! So expenses can be paid much quicker and can be done by bank transfer rather than cash so that’s a big win!

All gift prices will range from 50p to £2 and the gifts will be available for them to purchase during the school day (the teachers will bring one class at a time) on the 25th and 26th of November. The children will also be able to wrap their gifts and put a name tag before taking them home on the day. More info coming soon!

BAKE OFF COMPETITION!

Don’t forget we will be having a Bake Off competition again!
